Kristen & Dave
September 29th, 2017
The love story:
Dave’s oldest brother and his wife, who would later play match maker, met Kristen at a mutual friend’s engagement party in the fall of 2014. After meeting Kristen they decided to set Dave and her up on a blind date. The date took place at the Chelsea Market in Manhattan in November 2014. It went extremely well and the pair really hit it off. They continued to go out and spend more time together and fell in love with each other. Kristen and Dave were engaged on July second, 2016 when on vacation celebrating the Fourth of July weekend. On the morning of July second the pair took an early morning walk along the beach. Dave then got down on one knee and proposed to Kristen who happily and tearfully accepted! It was a beautiful moment shared just between the two of them!
Details of the day:
“Our wedding was definitely one of the best days of our lives! It turned out absolutely perfect and was definitely a magical, fairy tale, beautiful day! All of the details, both big & small, came together the day of and it was extremely rewarding to see our vision come to life! All of our vendors were awesome!” said Kristen. The couple was able to soak in all the special moments that the day entailed. Kristen and Dave agreed that there were so many memorable moments but seeing how happy their parents were that day – all the joy, love and pride in their eyes and on their faces had to be their favorite. “We can’t say enough about how amazing the staff at Florentine Gardens was! From the moment we arrived at the venue we were treated like royalty. Our rock star team was lead by our fabulous event consultant, Denise Downing. There was a lot of love and happiness in the room that day,” added bride Kristen.
The color theme of the wedding was hunter green, gold & ivory tones. The décor was elegant and romantic with a lot of personal touches throughout the venue – The couple wanted to make it feel like their own space. The florals were an array of gorgeous, luscious variety of white flowers and greenery. Garden roses, hydrangeas and lilies were included to add texture to the center pieces. Candles were lit throughout the venue to make the room feel warm and romantic. Some Personal touches included, a memory table for those loved ones that are no longer here with them, but always in their hearts and a “grow old along with me/decades of love” table that featured photos of the couples parents and grandparents.
Advice for other couples planning a wedding:
Kristen and Dave’s advice to other couples in the process of planning, “Planning a wedding is such an exciting time, but it can definitely be stressful. As a couple try and always work together as a team and prioritize what elements and details of the wedding are most important to the two of you as a couple – after all it is your day!
